Natick Man, 59, Charged With Enticing Minor After Vigilante Sting

He was arrested at his Pond Street home on Wednesday afternoon, according to Natick police.

NATICK, MA — Natick police arrested a 59-year-old town man on Wednesday and charged him with enticing a child under age 16. The arrest follows a video of the man being confronted in downtown Natick released last week by a vigilante group that targets sex predators in Massachusetts.

John E. Brown, of 25 Pond St., was arrested at his home on Wednesday morning. On May 2, a group called Predator Poachers Massachusetts posted a video on YouTube of a confrontation with Brown. A person in the video accuses Brown of trying to meet a 14-year-old.

The same group helped Marlborough police arrest a man several weeks ago.

During the week of April 20, the group posted a video of a confrontation with a 25-year-old man in a Marlborough parking lot. He was arrested on April 24 on charges of enticing a child and sending obscene matter to a minor, Marlborough police said.
