Natick Man Pleads Guilty In Child Porn Case
The 28-year-old is facing a minimum of five years in federal prison. He pleaded guilty on Tuesday, according to prosecutors.
NATICK, MA — A 28-year-old Natick man is facing a minimum of five years in federal prison for posting child porn on the internet. Joshua Bemis, 28, pleaded guilty on Tuesday to one count of possession of child pornography and one count of receipt of child pornography, according to federal prosecutors.
Bemis was arrested in November 2018 after a tip from police in the United Kingdom. Authorities there traced an IP address used to post child porn back to Bemis' Natick home, prosecutors said. The FBI later raided Bemis' home and seized his computers, finding videos depicting child rape.
Federal prosecutors in Boston say Bemis will serve a minimum of five years, but as many as 40 years — plus a $250,000 fine. He is set to be sentenced on Jan. 8.
