Natick Man Sentenced On Child Porn Charges
Authorities in the United Kingdom alerted police that Joshua Bemis, 28, had posted child porn on the internet, prosecutors say.
NATICK, MA — A Natick man will spend the next 11 years either in prison or under supervision for possessing child pornography. Joshua Bemis, 28, was sentenced to six years in prison and five years of supervised release this week.
In 2018, police in the United Kingdom found child porn on the internet from an IP address that traced back to Bemis' Natick home, according to prosecutors. Federal investigators then seized Bemis' computers and found "numerous" videos, including one showing the rape of a 7-year-old.
Bemis was charged in November 2018 with one count of child porn possession and one count of receiving child porn. He pleaded guilty to those charged in October.
