Natick Man Takes Leadership Role At Pan-Mass Challenge

Longtime Pan-Mass Challenge volunteer and Natick resident Glynn Hawley will become the PMC's operations director.

NATICK, MA — A Natick resident and longtime Pan-Mass Challenge booster has taken a leadership role a the annual bike ride's nonprofit. Glynn Hawley is now the PMC's new director of operations.

The Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC), a two-day, 211-mile bike-a-thon that raises more money for charity than any other single athletic fundraiser, recently promoted Natick local Glynn Hawley to Director of Operations. Hawley joined the organization full time in 2004 on its logistics team after participating as a rider and fundraiser from 1997 to 2003.

In his newly elevated position as Director of Operations, Hawley is responsible for managing the organization’s warehouse at its Needham headquarters, as well as all of its transportation and logistical operations. In addition, Hawley partners with dozens of vendors and in-kind sponsors to secure and distribute all PMC event provisions and coordinates the vital resources that support 18 operational locations during PMC ride weekend each August.

Before his time with the PMC, Hawley worked as an operations manager at a local telecommunications company, as an outdoor guide and cross-country ski instructor and as a security police officer in the U.S. Air Force. Hawley is a Boston College alum and currently lives in Natick with his wife, children, and dog Rocco.
