Natick May Raze Property To Make Way For New Apartments: Report
Gables Natick Crossing would bring over 200 units to a location near the West Natick train station.

NATICK, MA — Retail and office space next to the West Natick train station could be demolished under a proposal to build hundreds of commuter-friendly apartments.
A developer hopes to convert the vacant, three-acre property on West Central Street into a 219 unit-complex, standing five stories tall and covering 250,000 square feet, the Boston Business Journal reported Monday.
The Natick Planning Board is scheduled to hold a hearing March 25 on the project, dubbed the Gables Natick Crossing.

It’s one of the projects in 177 eastern Massachusetts municipalities that have changed zoning to allow for denser residential development, as required by the state’s 2021 MBTA Communities Law.
