Natick Police Dub Theft Surveillance Video With 'Billie Jean'
The antsy suspect in the video looked like he was pulling off some of MJ's signature moves, so the department had some fun with the video.

NATICK, MA — Natick police were reviewing surveillance footage from a recent shoplifting incident when they noticed the antsy suspect in the video had moves that looked an awful lot like Michael Jackson's. The department decided to have a little fun with the footage and posted it to its Facebook page, with a twist — the video was dubbed over with Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean." The song really helps the moves come to life.
The incident happened at a local shop on May 20 and although the total value of items stolen wasn't immense, police said they are focusing on the larger issue of stopping shoplifting altogether. Police said shoplifting incidents drive up the price of goods in local stores.
In the Facebook post, the department explained that it usually just posts a clip from when the actual theft occurred, but in this case, "the video leading up to the theft is far more compelling."

Police said they believe the man shoplifted under $1,200 worth of hair styling/barber tools and was with a woman who is not seen in the video. She was described as being in her late 20's with blonde hair and blue eyes. Police said loss prevention reports that the pair are suspects in Worcester and West Boylston for the same crimes.
People commenting on the Facebook post pointed out an even bigger crime caught in the video: Wearing a New York Giants hat in a Bay State store.
