Natick Police Seek Masked, Armed Robber

BREAKING: A man reportedly attempted to rob the Speedway Gas Station on Route 9.

NATICK, MA — A masked, armed man robbed the Speedway Gas Station in Natick on Route 9 Thursday afternoon.

Police responded to the Speedway Gas Station on Route 9 eastbound near the Oak Street intersection at 3:55 p.m., with multiple officers converging on the scene quickly. Officers were told that a masked suspect entered the gas station threatening to have a gun.

Officers set a perimeter and brought in a K-9 unit to attempt to track the suspect.

The suspect is described as 5'10" to 6' tall with a stocky build. He was dressed in blue jeans with a black vest over a red hooded sweatshirt. He also wore a black knit watch cap and a gray ski mask.

The suspect was only in the building for about 30 seconds, and he appeared to have been scared off by a customer exiting the restroom, said police. Nothing was stolen.
