Natick Police Seize Ammunition, High Capacity Magazines

A Natick resident faces charges after a search warrant resulted in the seizure of anything from a firearm to fireworks.

NATICK, MA — The Natick Police Department recently executed a search warrant on a local home, resulting in the confiscation of multiple high-capacity magazines and more.

The department announced Thursday that the search warrant resulted in the seizure of "a large number of high capacity magazines (for firearms), a firearm, thousands of rounds of ammunition, fireworks, two stun guns, and a protective ballistic carrier."

Police issued an arrest warrant for Richard Kane, 32, who was charged and arraigned in Natick District Court last week.

Facing over 20 total charges, Kane was ordered held without bail.

According to a MetroWest Daily News report, the investigation started on July 20 when police went to Kane's apartment to serve an arrest warrant for a different person. That person wasn't found, prompting police to return with a search warrant.
