NATICK, MA — It may not be the Christmas season, when package theft picks up in ways unique to the winter, but Natick police are warning residents to take heed.

"Porch pirates are at it in our area," police said in a social media post recently, sharing an image of a man who say they stole a package from a Natick porch.

"These guys usually stay local if they are successful so our patrol officers are out canvassing the community," police said. "In this instance he disguised himself as a food delivery person, grabbed the package from the porch, and ran back to his vehicle with both."
