Natick Seeks Members Of Master Plan Advisory Committee

Want to help shape the future of the town? Consider this volunteer opportunity.

NATICK, MA — How does Natick look today? What do we want it to be like in the next 20 years? Town officials are urging those who are interested in these issues and want to help build community consensus to consider an opportunity.

Natick is undertaking a two-year master planning process called Natick 2030+. The master plan we create will guide policy makers and the community as a whole in making planning and land use decisions over the next 20 years by developing a vision for the town and the goals and implementation strategies to achieve it, explains the announcement.

As the town prepares for the public outreach phase of Natick 2030+,the Planning Board is looking for members for the Master Plan Advisory Committee (MPAC), which is charged with leading the effort to ensure broad participation in the master planning process. The town has one recent vacancy to fill on the eight-member committee, as well as the expansion of the committee by up to four additional members during an intensive and wide-ranging public outreach period this spring.
