Natick Town Meeting Gives Green Light To $67M For Schools

Town Meeting approved the 4.4 percent increased budget from this years and a costly assessment for Keefe Regional Technical School.

NATICK, MA — Natick's school budget was passed almost unanimously by Town Meeting on Tuesday night. In a 115-2 vote, the $67.8 million budget was approved. It is a 4.4 percent increase from this year's budget.

Town Meeting also approved a $1.5 million assessment for Keefe Regional Technical School, according to the MetroWest Daily News. This vote was also close to unanimous with members voting 102-1 to pay the towns share of the budget for the regional school. Seventy Natick students will attend the school next year, the MetroWest Daily News reported.

The Natick Public School budget includes $180,000 in bus and parking fees, and $650,000 from revolving accounts that were approved by School Committee members last month.
