Natick To Unveil Whalen Square For 4 Brothers, World War II Veterans
The Whalen brothers will be forever remembered in Natick, with special recognition at the corner of Willow and North Main Streets.
NATICK, MA — The corner of Willow and North Main Streets in Natick will forever remember the Whalen Brothers after a ceremony on Sunday.
The Select Board passed a resolution to dedicate the corner to the four brothers and World War II veterans, naming it Whalen Square in their honor.
A ceremony is scheduled for 12 p.m. on Sunday to honor the family and recognize the brothers.

James Whalen served as an Army Corporal in the war and Richard Whalen served as an Army Sergeant, winning a bronze star for valor.
William Whalen served in the Air Force as a Sergeant while Francis Whalen served in the Navy as a Machinist.
