Natick's Bennett-Hemenway Playground Closed
The district said the playground is "no longer operational."
NATICK, MA — Yellow caution tape is wrapped around the Bennett-Hemenway playground in Natick and there are no children in sight. The school district recently announced that the playground is closed fro good.
The district sent an email to families specifying that the playground is closed to everyone, not just Natick students. The email reads in part, "The playground on East Evergreen Street in the front of the school (formerly known as the "preschool playground") is no longer operational."
The district cited "safety considerations" but did not specify what considerations were made. The playground will be torn down by the Department of Public Works in the near future, according to the district.
