Natick Seafood Restaurant Closing, But New Restaurant Coming
Dolphin Seafood has been in downtown Natick for close to 30 years.

NATICK, MA — A dining staple in Natick will close its doors soon, with a new restaurant set to take its place this spring.
Dolphin Seafood, 12 Washington St., will close at the end of December, the owners announced in a Facebook post Friday. The owners said they will open a new restaurant called 7 South Bottle+Kitchen in the same location in 2022.
"Our decision was a very difficult one that we did not take lightly. We are incredibly grateful to all of our loyal customers that we have served in the last 27 years," the post said. "For the next two weeks, please visit us and enjoy your favorite seafood dish. This will be a great opportunity for you to use up those Dolphin gift cards!"

Peter Giannacopoulos opened Dolphin Seafood in 1975 after immigrating to the area from Greece and working as a fisherman in Boston. In addition to a traditional seafood menu — everything from fried clam strips to whole steamed lobsters — the restaurant operated a function hall, and offered catering.
