Natick's Storm Drains Have Gotten A Lot Prettier. Here's Why

An art project from Rebecca McCue is helping Natick residents learn about local stormwater management efforts.

NATICK, MA — Stormwater management and art aren't typically two words, topics or disciplines that find themselves together. In Natick, officials have asked the question why not?

Some in town have likely noticed that Natick's storm drains look a lot different than usual, and that's thanks to a collaborative project that officials hope can both calm traffic and educate residents about stormwater management.

The Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness Program and the Town of Natick funded the work of local artist and Natick High School alumna Rebecca McCue. A video project produced by Don Porter further explains the goal.
