Needham Bank Announces 'Dementia-Friendly' Banking Hours in Natick
The program is in partnership with Dementia Friendly Natick - an initiative of the Natick Council on Aging and Human Services.

NEEDHAM, Mass. —Needham Bank, in partnership with Dementia Friendly Natick, will introduce dedicated dementia-friendly banking hours at its Natick branch beginning October 17,2026.
As part of a pilot program, the branch at 17 West Central Street will open from 12:30 - 2:30p.m. on the third Saturday of each month. These special banking hours hours will provide a quieter, more supporting banking environment for people living with dementia and their caregivers.
“I recognize the unique challenges people living with dementia and their caregivers may face, and I am proud to introduce these dedicated hours at our Natick branch as part of Needham Bank’s commitment to responsive, community-focused banking,” said Stephen Walls, a Needham Bank VP Branch Manager.

The initiative is designed to create a comfortable, supportive environment through consistency, familiarity and personalized assistance, making banking more accessible and less stressful.
During these dedicated hours, the branch will reduce lighting, noise and activity where possible to provide a calmer customer experience. Employees will also be available to discuss appropriate account safeguards and fraud-prevention resources with customers and caregivers, subject to applicable privacy and authorization requirements. Natick branch employees will receive dementia-friendly training to help them serve the community with greater awareness and understanding.

Needham Bank is a member of Dementia Friendly Natick, an initiative of the Natick Council on Aging and Human Services. The initiative brings together local organizations and service providers to raise awareness and strengthen community support for residents living with dementia and their caregivers.
