NHS Boys' Hockey Home Opener is Tonight

The Boy's Varsity ice hockey team will faceoff against Walpole Saturday night at the newly renovated Chase Arena, Natick in their home opener.  The team will be led by Tri-Captains; forwards Matt Kustra and Andrew Newis, and goaltender Derek Kwok.  It should be a pretty strong year for the Red & Blue.  Taking charge behind the bench is third-year returning Head Coach Karl Infanger, with assistants Chuck DiGiandomenico and Alan Donnelly.

A special event will also be on tape for the evening as the team will be having the drawing of their FaceOff Raffle 2011 fundraiser that has been going on over the last couple of months.  Raffle tickets can be purchased at the game for $5 each, or five tickets for $20.  The money raised will help offset the cost to purchase new away jerseys for the season.

Prizes are as follows:
•1st prize: Hockey stick signed by the entire Bruins team in June. One similar stick reportedly just sold for $3,300 at auction, according to the team's website.
•2nd prize: Sony Ericcson Xperia Play Playstation smartphone, valued at $450.
•3rd prize: Two 45-yard line tickets (section 110, row 21) to the New Year's Day game between the New England Patriots and the Buffalo Bills at Gillette Stadium. The tickets are valued at $338.
•4th prize: A pair of tickets to the Jan. 12 game between the Boston Bruins and the Montreal Canadiens with Legends admission. Seats are behind the net, valued at $299 and include entrance to the Legends Restaurant.
•5th prize: Boston Bruins 2011 commemorative plaque, including photos and globe filled with melted ice from the actual game. Valued at $249
•6th prize: 2011 Stanley Cup collage, which includes photos and a piece of the net. Valued at $219
•7th prize: Bauer One60 Sr. Hockey stick valued at $130
•8th prize: Jabra Go 660 Bluetooth headset valued at $110
•9th prize: $100 gift certificate to Ken's Steak House in Framingham.
•10th prize: Sony Ericcson TM506 Mobile Phone valued at $99
