Over 1,100 hearts have been added to the installation located along the MBTA pedestrian bridge downtown.
NATICK, MA — The LOVE 01760 art installation in downtown Natick opened this week, filling the pedestrian bridge over the commuter rail tracks with hearts created by local residents.
LOVE 01760 is a community-wide art project meant to bring residents together during a time of social distancing. For the project, residents submitted heart halves, which were then paired and strung up across the pedestrian bridge.
The organizers — including the Natick Center Cultural District, SPARK Kindness, and local artists and businesses — had hoped for a few hundreds submissions. But over 1,100 hearts were submitted, according to participant Kathryn Doran.

There are also over 200 hearts highlighting Natick 2020 graduates, and almost 30 giant hearts adorning local businesses.
"To say this has been a labor of love is a huge understatement. For the past several months, countless people from near and far have been contributing heart halves that would ultimately be joined with others' works of art," she wrote in a Facebook message about the project.
