PIC OF THE DAY: Mac and Cheese to a Place to Turn

Pre-K children donated macaroni and cheese boxes to Natick's food pantry.

NATICK, MA — Pre-K children from the Judy Gordon Nursery School at Temple Israel of Natick donated macaroni and cheese boxes to A Place To Turn.

The boxes were used as groggers for Purim, and now feed those in need.

Natick's pantry A Place to Turn was established in 1979 when its founders recognized that economic hardship exists in the suburbs, too. The food pantry began as a fledgling entity in the basement of a private home, moved briefly to St. Patrick Church in Natick, and in 1981 settled at its present location in a small cape on the grounds of the Hartford Street Presbyterian Church in Natick.
