Poncho-Wearing Thieves Wanted By Natick Police

Natick police say the fashion "icon from the 1970s" is now being used for crime.

NATICK, MA — Two women were caught on camera using a poncho to shoplift from a store — an act Natick police call a "classic example" of fashion being used for crime.

Police on Thursday released a video of the women stuffing purses under a poncho at a town store.

"Who remembers that fashion icon from the 70s, the ever versatile poncho? This, ladies and gentlemen, is a classic example of a poncho being used as a shoplifting tool. These ladies are brazen, I'll give them that but very sloppy," Natick police wrote on Facebook.
