Possible Threat At Natick Mall Draws Police Response

NATICK, MA — Local police descended on the Natick Mall on Monday night after hearing social media chatter about people planning to target the building.

According to Natick police, dozens of vehicles gathered at the mall on Monday, but were told to disperse. However, no looting or vandalism occurred.

Police around the region are on alert following violent protests in Boston on Sunday night and early Monday morning. Fifty-three people were arrested, some for looting stores and vandalizing property.

Police in Braintree were also called to the South Shore Plaza on Monday for a similar threat as the Natick Mall.
