NATICK, MA — MassDOT will begin preparing to demolish the Boden Lane Bridge the week of Nov. 11, and town officials believe the damaged bridge will be gone before the end of 2019.

In an update Friday, Natick officials said MassDOT crews will start clearing vegetation near the bridge in preparation for demolition. The demo will take between two and four weeks, and MBTA trains will run as usual during the work.

MassDOT also plans to build a temporary pedestrian bridge near Boden Lane, but it's unclear when that structure will be built. In the meantime, a shuttle to the West Natick MBTA station will continue to run during morning and evening rush hours on weekdays. The shuttle leaves from near the intersection of Burning Tree and Boden Lane.
