Primrose School Coming to Natick; Groundbreaking This Week

A Primrose School franchise is celebrating a groundbreaking this week.

NATICK, MA — They're aspiring to "make a positive difference in the lives of children and their families in Natick and the surrounding MetroWest communities."

Franchise owners Suzanne and Lonnie Cohn break ground on the new Primrose School of Natick with a ceremony on Friday, April 8, at 10 a.m. alongside representatives from the town of Natick, the Natick Center Cultural District and the MetroWest Chamber of Commerce.

Primrose School of Natick is part of the Primrose Schools family of accredited preschools offering high-quality early education and care for children ages 6 weeks to 6 years old.

“Natick is an incredibly family-friendly place, and creating a sense of community for families is what Primrose is all about,” Suzanne said in a statement. “We are honored to bring the Primrose Experience to the communities of MetroWest so we can provide children with a premier early education experience and provide parents with peace of mind knowing that their children are receiving the highest standard of education and care.”

The 12,000-square-foot school features 14 private classrooms and can serve more than 175 local children and their families. The school will add approximately $5.1 million in project costs to the local economy and will bring approximately 45 jobs to the community when operating at full capacity.

The new school is expected to open in the fall of 2016 and will be the first Primrose school in Natick and the second in the Boston metro area.
