Recent Deaths: Rita Grassey Sanborn, Mary Arthur, Gerald Forest

• Mary (Naum) Arthur, 87, died May 15. Arthur was born in Manchester, NH, but lived in Natick for 61 years. She was the great-grandmother of Justin Bailey, a Natick High School student who died earlier this year. Sympathies can be sent to the Natick Visiting Nurse Association, 209 West Central Street Natick, MA 01760.

• Rita Grassey Sanborn, 86, died May 16. A longtime Natick resident, she attended Natick High School and worked for the Natick School Department at age 15 and later worked as assistant to the superintendent. Grassey Sanborn later worked as a Board of Selectmen administrator and executive assistant at Leonard Morse Hospital and served on a number of town committees and organizations.

• Gerald Forest, 78, died May 16. An Ashland resident, Forest lived for many years in Natick. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a draftsman at Haley and Ward, Inc., in Waltham for more than 40 years.
