Framingham Mosquitoes Test Positive For West Nile Virus
Mosquitoes in the southwest area of Framingham have tested positive for West Nile Virus. No person has tested positive, officials said.
FRAMINGHAM, MA — Two pools of mosquito samples taken in Southwest Framingham this week were positive for West Nile Virus, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health announced.
Southwest Framingham is considered the area near Route 135 and close to the Ashland border, officials said.
No person has tested positive for the virus, but officials said residents should presume that the positive mosquitoes are within city borders.

West Nile Virus activity appears to be at a normal level this year, state officials said. There were 10 human cases of West Nile Virus in 2022.
