Snow Cleanup In Natick Could Take A Week, Town Predicts

Like other communities, the town is banning parking and trying to keep streets free of snow. But cleaning it all up could take a while.

NATICK, MA — A major winter storm that began pounding eastern Massachusetts on Sunday night will keep vehicles off Natick streets until Wednesday morning.

Forecasted to bring up to 30 inches of snow and 75-mph winds to some parts of the state, the storm downed power lines and left more than 240,000 Massachusetts customers without electricity by 9:45 a.m. Monday.

Like many communities, Natick canceled school for the day and temporarily shuttered nonessential city offices. The town later said the cancellation would continue Tuesday. To help with snow removal, parking along town roads has been banned until 7 a.m. Wednesday, according to an updated public notice.
