South Natick Dental Provides Free Dental Care to Women at Voices against Violence Program in Framingham

Recently more than a dozen women from the Women against Violence Program of SMOC (South Middlesex Opportunity Council) came to South Natick Dental to receive free dental care.

“These women have been through so much and we wanted to help” said Dr. Sveta Novak, DMD and Owner of South Natick Dental. “Some of these women haven’t seen a dentist in years and dental care is so vital your overall health, we wanted to do what we could to help.”

Services the Dental practice donated included routine cleanings, fillings and x-rays.

South Natick Dental is asking the public for help in assisting the Voices Against Violence Program. The women are in desperate need of  toiletries, books (including but not limited to cookbooks) and most importantly MBTA passes. The women in the program are starting work and need to get around. “Transportation is a huge financial burden on these women,” Said Lisa Tucciarone, Office Manager at South Natick Dental. “They cannot afford the cost of a bus fare to get them to work so that they can earn a living. It is a huge barrier for them.”

Donations to the Voices against Violence Program of SMOC can be dropped off at South Natick Dental at 65 Elliot Street in South Natick.
