SPARK Kindness Named as a Recipient of the UP Innovation Program

Grant would provide funding for innovative solutions to addressing barriers in civic participation in the cultural sector

Boston – Representative David P. Linsky (D-Natick) announced today that Mass Cultural Council has named SPARK Kindness as a recipient of the FY23 UP Innovation Fund program. This program offers annual grants to Universal Participation Designated Organizations to plan, implement, and evaluate accessible goods, services, programs, and policies that prevent full civic participation in Massachusetts’ cultural sector. These grants provide an opportunity to build inclusive practices that address needs across multiple environments including, but not limited to, physical and digital places of assembly, healthy communities, employment and fair labor practices, and social, cultural, and physical barriers.

“This grant will provide funding to build innovative solutions to address barriers and inspire direct actions and fresh ideas,” said Representative Linsky. “I would like to thank Mass Cultural Council for their commitment to ensuring full civic participation in our cultural centers.”
