Stolen Car In Natick Solves Medford Theft Case

A Natick police officer this week returned $3,000 worth of stolen tools.

NATICK, MA — A Natick police officer's recent traffic stop led to the return of a person's livelihood.

Officer Derek Kane recently pulled over a driver who was using a stolen vehicle. Inside the vehicle, Kane found a trove of power tools that had been stolen in Medford.

"Through tenacity, he was able to trace these tools back to their owner," Natick police said in a social media post.

Kane returned the $3,000 worth of tools to the owner on Tuesday, according to police.
