Sushi Comes to Natick Collection On a Conveyor Belt

The conveyor belt style Japanese restaurant, Wasabi, is set to arrive at Natick Collection in July.

Mid-July, shoppers at the Natick Collection will be able to experience Japanese cuisine in a whole new way. Customers who visit Wasabi, an open-air restaurant set to open on the first level of the new addition outside the Apple Store,  will get a chance to pick their meals not from a menu, but as it passes by on a conveyor belt. Move too slow and your spicy tuna roll could be grabbed by a customer a few seats down.

The 95-seat restaurant is also located in Howard, VA. and Washington, D.C.  Wasabi will be surrounded by a railing with a single point of entrance and exit. Guests will be seated by a host and will be served by waiters.

Visit the Wasabi Facebook page for more information on the original locations and to view prospective drawings of the new Natick location.
