Targets Of Bizarre Harassment Campaign, Natick Couple Settle Their EBay Lawsuit
The couple sued the company and some former workers in 2021, accusing the defendants of gruesome threats and intimidation.
NATICK, MA — A Natick couple targeted by a gruesome harassment campaign have agreed to settle their $500 million lawsuit against eBay and some of its former employees.
Terms of the settlement on Wednesday were not disclosed, according to WCVB-TV 5 and the Associated Press.
David and Ina Steiner sued eBay and the workers in 2021, claiming they conspired to “intimidate, threaten to kill, torture, terrorize, stalk and silence” the couple because of their writing about the company.

The Steiners have published an industry newsletter, EcommerceBytes, since 1999. A federal judge last summer allowed the lawsuit to go to trial.
As part of the harassment, the Steiners said, defendants ordered anonymous and "disturbing" deliveries to the victims’ Natick home, including a preserved fetal pig, a bloody pig Halloween mask, live insects and a book on surviving the loss of a spouse.
