Town Dedicates General Greene Avenue

The avenue is being dedicated in honor of Major General Harold J. Greene.

Help the town dedicate its new roadway, named in honor of Major General Harold J. Green, 1959-2014.

On Friday, July 10, at 10:30 a.m. join other residents and official in the dedication by assembling at Kansas and North Main Streets.

Immediately following the dedication, a memorial for General Greene, funded by the Hanscom Federal Credit Union and private donations, is unveiled at the entrance to the Natick Soldier Systems Command.

According to Wikipedia, Harold Joseph “Harry” Greene was killed in the War in Afghanistan serving as a United States Army officer. Greene held “various commands associated with engineering and logistical support for U.S. and coalition troops. At the time of his death, he was deputy commanding general of Combined Security Transition Command – Afghanistan.”
