WATCH: 'This Character Was Checking Car Doors': Natick Police

Natick police are reminding residents to lock their car doors; there is at least one person out there trying to steal your stuff.

NATICK, MA -- Often, larceny from vehicles happens when thieves can simply open your vehicle. So, lock your doors, reminds Natick police, who supported their reminder of video surveillance showing a man checking cars in and around Speen Street.

In the early morning hours of Jan. 28, “this character [pictured in the video] was strolling around the neighborhoods off of Speen Street checking vehicle doors. He is probably in search of whatever he can find of value but, mostly loose change. An act as simple as locking your doors can thwart this type of crime as he doesn’t want to make noise by breaking the glass to gain entry.”

Police said that many don’t bother to report this crime, considering it to be an inconvenience. But the department would like to know if you’ve been a victim.
