Where To Get Free Salt, Sand In Natick For Winter Weather
The town salt and sand pile is for residents only, and may come in handy with a blizzard coming this weekend.

NATICK, MA — With a blizzard in the forecast this weekend, it's a good time to stock up on supplies like salt and sand.
Luckily for Natick residents, the town gives away those anti-slip supplies for free.
Any Natick resident can head to the Public Works yard along Oak Street (near the corner of Eisenhower Avenue near Mathworks field) to take from the salt and sand pile. All you need to bring is a small bucket and a shovel.

The National Weather Service on Friday morning added all of Middlesex and Norfolk counties into a blizzard warning area. That means wind gusts above 50 mph, and snow totals at, near or above 20 inches.
The warning goes into effect at midnight on Saturday — plenty of time to stock up on salt and sand before the snow starts.
