World War II Museum extends hours during holidays

The International Museum of World War II will be open Tuesday, December 26 through Saturday, December 30 for unscheduled visits.

During the holidays, the The International Museum of World War II will be open the additional days of Tuesday, December 26; Wednesday, December 27; and Thursday, December 28 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM for unscheduled visits. Per the Museum’s regular schedule, it will also be open Friday, December 29, and Saturday, December 30, for unscheduled visits.

Last entry to the Museum is 3:00 PM and all visitors must fill out a waiver in advance and present an ID for entry. Additional details for visiting the Museum, including admission, can be found here.

The Museum is committed to educating visitors and the community about the horrors of war. One of the Museum’s key missions is to bring more students into direct, multi-sensory contact with original artifacts to understand war’s causes and consequences. It uniquely shows the human side of the story with objects from everyday life, alongside military and political artifacts.

Also currently on view is the special exhibition, The Real and Reel Casablanca; American Troops Enter World War II, Landing in North Africa, commemorating the 75th anniversary of American troops engaged in combat in the war’s Europe and North Africa theater. The exhibit features 75 artifacts related to the first invasion of Casablanca, Morocco and artifacts from the Hollywood film, Casablanca starring Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman.
