Would-Be Diamond Robbery Foiled In Natick Mall: Report

A Beverly man was arrested after offering $27,000 for a gemstone, then trying to run away with it.

NATICK, MA — The Natick Mall was the site of an attempted robbery Tuesday when a man tried to make off with a woman’s high-priced diamond.

Kathleen Sanfacon had agreed to meet a potential buyer of her gemstone near a bank branch inside the mall, WCVB-TV 5 reported.

When Keyjuan Webb arrived, he examined the heart-shaped stone and said he’d pay $27,000 for it. But then he bolted, taking the diamond with him.
