• Community survey finds residents content, but less trusting (needhamobserver.com) — Needham residents continue to rate the town's quality of life, schools, safety, and municipal services very highly, but they're increasingly worried about trust in local government and the cost of living. A new National Community Survey shows strong satisfaction with police, fire, schools, and infrastructure, alongside sharp drops in confidence in government and very low marks for housing affordability and overall costs.
   

• Free meals offered to every NPS student (needhamobserver.com) — Every Needham Public Schools student can now receive free breakfast and lunch daily, thanks to a universal meals program backed by state funding and local efforts. Nutrition director Emily Murphy is expanding scratch cooking, local sourcing, and culturally diverse menus while pushing to boost participation, especially at breakfast, through better communication with families.
