2. Hollywood Comes To Newburyport During Nor'easter (iheart.com) — Downtown Newburyport just doubled as a movie set, with crews filming "Marcelo in the Real World" around local streets, a coffee shop, and the Grog restaurant even as a nor'easter soaked the area. Residents and shop workers say the city's historic look made it a perfect backdrop, and the film, starring Eva Longoria, is expected out next year.

4. Lowest midgrade gas price in Essex County hits $4.39 for week ending Sept. 19 (northbostonnews.com) — Midgrade gas in Newburyport is running among the higher prices in Essex County, with local stations listed at $5.29 per gallon during the week ending Sept. 19. Countywide, the midgrade average hit $4.89, slightly below the statewide average of $4.92. Prices remain elevated amid global oil disruptions and refinery issues, so checking rates frequently still matters.
