Man Hospitalized In Newton 2-Alarm Fire On Allen Avenue: Reports
UPDATE: Emergency services reports said the victim and a firefighter were taken to Mass General Hospital on Wednesday morning.
NEWTON, MA — One resident and a Newton firefighter were taken to the hospital when a house fire broke out with two brothers inside the home on Allen Avenue on Wednesday morning, according to CBS Boston and multiple emergency services reports.
The fire at 125 Allen Avenue reached two alarms with the victims being taken to Mass General Hospital.
CBS Boston's Kristina Rex reported that two brothers were in the home when fire crews arrived at about 10 a.m. One of the brothers was able to get out of the house uninjured while the other was quickly rescued, officials told the station.

The station reported that one firefighter sustained minor injuries while trying to get into the house to save the man.
Emergency services reports said fire could be seen coming from the home when crews arrived on Wednesday morning and that the bulk of the blaze was knocked down as of about 10:30 a.m.
