2 Newton Companies Selected to 'Top Places to Work 2014' List

Two Newton companies—Visiting Angels of Newton and Canton and Commodore Builders—were included in the Boston Globe’s “Top Places to Work 2014.”

Visiting Angels was ranked No. 6 and Commodore was ranked No. 7 on the “midsize companies” list. Last year, Commodore was ranked No. 6. Visiting Angels made the list for the first time this year.

The Newburyport-based Institution for Savings was named No. 1 on the “midsize companies” list.

The Globe evaluated 366 organizations across the state for its annual survey.
