2 Sent To Hospital After Crash Involving Newton Fire Dept. Car

Two people in the Newton Fire Department car were released from the hospital, according to fire officials.

NEWTON, MA — Newton police are investigating the cause of a crash that involved a Newton Fire SUV and another car on Thanksgiving along Commonwealth Avenue. Both the driver and the passenger in the Newton Fire Department car were taken to Newton Wellesley but released.

Early reports indicated it was a head-on collision early Thanksgiving morning.

It's unclear if anyone in the other car was injured.
