Alleged Armed Robber at Star Market: 'No Noise. Give Me All the Money'

The following was supplied by the Newton Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

A clerk working at the customer service desk at a grocery store was reportedly robbed this week.

On Wednesday, March 25, around 5 p.m., Newton police responded to Star Market on Boylston Street for a report of an armed robbery that had just occurred. The caller said she was working at the customer service desk when a man walked up to the desk, grabbed a pen and walked away. She said he then came back to the desk, sliding a brown piece of paper to her that read, “NO NOISE GIVE ME ALL THE MONEY IN THE DRAWER OR I WILL SHOT U NOW.”

He also repeated what was on the paper to her, said police, saying “Don’t make a sound or I’ll shoot you. Give me all the money.”
