Anna's Taqueria Opens Newton Location Tuesday

NEWTON, MA - For Boston-area burrito fanatics, six Anna’s Taquerias apparently wasn’t enough. The local chain is set to open its seventh in Newton Highlands today.

After holding a soft open at its 27 Lincoln St. location Monday, it will hold its official grand opening Tuesday at 8 a.m., according to Boston.com.

For the past 20 years, Anna’s Taquerias has served Bostonians West Coast-style Mexican cuisine, and has since expanded its reach to Brookline, Somerville and Cambridge. The Newton Highlands restaurant is the seventh to open in the region.

In addition to opening up a new location, the chain is adding salad bowls to the menu. The bowls join the burritos, tacos, quesadillas, and chips and guacamole that Anna’s is known for, but will only be available at the Newton Highlands eatery.
