UPDATE: Bomb Threat at Newton North High

Crews responded on Tuesday to a situation at Newton North High. Authorities are still investigating.

Crews responded to Newton North High School for a reported bomb threat on Tuesday morning. According to alerts online, officials received a threat in a note.

Principal Mark Aronson, in a letter to parents, said that at approximately 10:20 a.m., some threatening graffiti was discovered in the bathroom.

Working with Newton police and fire, they determined it was not an immediate threat to the building.

“We are continuing to investigate the incident as a school disciplinary matter,” said Aronson. “As always, we take safety and security very seriously and we will keep you informed if we receive any additional information regarding this matter.”
