Mr. Dibner, a third-generation Technion supporter, came to know the Technion firsthand in the 1970s, when he worked as a naval architect and marine engineer at the shipyards in Haifa alongside Technion researchers. There, he met his wife Rachel “Relly” Wolfson, daughter of a former Technion Board of Governor’s leader. Together they have generously supported Technion projects including the Technion-Rambam Functional Brain Imaging Facility — a sophisticated medical imaging technology. The project was dedicated during the BOG. The Dibners are Technion Guardians — a designation reserved for those whose support has reached the highest level.
Mr. Dibner served as Vice President of the ATS New England Region; is a member of the BOG, and is a graduate of ATS local and national leadership programs. He and his wife are current members of the local board and chaired the Annual Event for the Region in 2007. They are active in other educational, historic and philanthropic institutions, including Mr. Dibner having served as chairman of the Dibner Institute for the History of Science and Technology at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, established by his late father David.
