Break-In On Maplewood, A Bald Man Breaks MBTA Bus Window: Newton Crime Log

The following are excerpts from the Newton police log on April 15 and April 16.

Break in: Just after 6 p.m. A Maplewood Avenue resident called to report someone broke into their garage and now a bicycle was missing, April 16.

Whipped: Someone called to report a man threw a bottle at an MBTA bus near River and Pine streets on April 15. The bottle broke the window. A witness on the bus said he saw a man, described as bald, white man smoking a cigarette and wearing a tank top, 'whip' the bottle from the area of Star Road at River Street at the bus, causing the damage.

Keyed: Someone reported their Toyota was keyed while parked on Washington Street on April 15.
