Brookline Liquor Mart Opens Tuesday At The Street

CHESTNUT HILL, MA - Brookline Liquor Mart opened up a new location at 7 Boylston Street at The Street in Chestnut Hill today.

This is the store’s first expansion since its opening more than 80 years ago. The family-owned business has operated out of its iconic Allston shop through four generations, providing customers with a vast selection of fine wine, craft beer and unique items, in addition to welcoming, friendly employees who adhere to their neighborhood roots.

The new store will offer more than 800 different types of wine and 250 types of beer. In keeping with Brookline Liquor Mart tradition, it will also host neighborhood events, such as wine tastings, and eventually expand to larger functions.

“We take the intimidation out of the wine experience by talking personally with our customers. Once the conversation starts, we are beginning a dialogue about taste, history and art – that’s what wine and craft beer are these days: art in a bottle,” said S. Jason Katz, vice president of Brookline Liquor Mart, in a press release.

Brookline Liquor Mart joins 43 other shops at The Street, 18 of which are native to Massachusetts.
