Picnic & Play in the Park: Junk Jam and Upcycle Parade

Join Green Newton on Thursday, August 13, for a Junk Jam and Upcycle Parade, one of our hands-on sustainability activities this summer!

From 10:30am to 12:30pm at Lincoln Eliot Elementary, families can transform recycled materials into costumes, hats, and musical instruments before marching through the park in a colorful Sustainability Parade. Participants are encouraged to bring clean recyclables from home, including cardboard boxes, toilet paper rolls, newspapers, and plastic containers. A snack will also be provided.
