Car Swept Away By Brook During Flash Flooding In Newton
The vehicle was unoccupied during the incident and no injuries were reported.

NEWTON, MA — A car was swept into Cheesecake Brook along Albemarle Rd. Thursday afternoon due to flash flooding, said Newton Fire Department.
Fire officials said the car hit a small footbridge before landing on its side in the water.
The vehicle was unoccupied during the incident and no injuries were reported, but both the car and the footbridge were significantly damaged.

Newton Police and Fire Departments and the Department of Public Works responded to the incident and a tow company was able to lift the car out of the brook.
