CENTURY BANK ANNOUNCES GRAND OPENING OF
NEW BRANCH IN CHESTNUT HILL SQUARE

Presents $2,000 to Boston Children’s Hospital League

Century Bank, New England’s largest family-run bank, celebrated the opening of its newest branch at 210 Boylston Street in Newton – neighboring the future Wegmans Market. Century Bank Founder and Chairman, Marshall M. Sloane, officiated at the Grand Opening Celebration and presented the ribbon, comprised of $2,000 in cash to The Boston Children’s Hospital League.

Mr. Sloane was joined by his son, Barry R. Sloane, President and CEO of Century Bank; Linda Sloane Kay, Executive Vice President of Century Bank; and The Honorable Mayor Setti Warren on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at the Grand Opening Celebration.

While Century Bank’s branch is new to Chestnut Hill Square, the Bank already has a substantial presence in the community with a branch at 1184 Boylston Street on Route 9 East in Brookline and another at 32 Langley Road in Newton.

Known for its community involvement and its interest in supporting local businesses, Century Bank will fit into Chestnut Hill Square nicely. The new Century Bank branch staff has strong ties to the financial industry in Chestnut Hill. Together they have walked the neighborhood and met with local business and community leaders. The reception on Wednesday was extremely well attended. Century’s newest branch and special promotions have been well received.

Century Bank’s Chestnut Hill Square branch will be open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tony Daniels, Century Bank Vice President and Branch Manager of the new Chestnut Hill Square location, will provide superior customer service to existing customers, as well as grow new relationships in the area.
